YMCA PROGRAMS

The YMCA Of Metropolitan Dallas offers a variety of programs that are designed to promote our six character values: caring, trustworthiness, fairness, respect, citizenship and responsibility.

At the YMCA, we offer activities for every generation, from yoga babies to seniors' water aerobics.  The journey of a family is written by experiencing life together at the YMCA.

The YMCA has developed several activities to encourage and motivate mature adults to take action, get engaged and establish a stronger community of friends through the Y.

While activities with the whole family are important, we see tremendous value in supporting and strengthening the ability of a father and child to communicate at an early age. The YMCA Adventure Guides program is designed to strengthen the relationship and bond between father and child.

Once a child reaches school age, multiple influences enter his or her life. YMCA After School ensures that the time after school is occupied creatively and constructively.

The YMCA offers aquatic programs for all ages and abilities in a fun and safe environment.  Class sizes are determined by safety factors and age of participants, and are closely monitored to ensure safety.

The YMCA has a long history of providing classes and enrichment opportunities to people in our communities.  Programs can include dance classes, art classes and gymnastics.

In addition to our traditional day camps, the YMCA offers two year-round camps, Camp Grady Spruce (resident and family retreat camp) and Collin County Outdoor Education Camp.

The YMCA offers a variety of Community events in the spring that are designed to engage both family and community.  Contact your neighborhood YMCA for more information on what's available in your area.

Time and money are at a premium, with an increasing number of families trying to do more with fewer resources.  YMCA family programs seek to strengthen family ties, instill core values and provide families with worry free, fun activities to do together.  Contact your neighborhood YMCA for more information.

The YMCA health and wellness programs help people at any stage of life build positive health habits.  Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities to develop friendship and community and a sense of well-being.

The YMCA Personal Fitness Program is designed to help ready-to-be-fit individuals move toward the behavior and mind-set of a regular exerciser.  The program is based on research that provides the health and fitness professionals with an innovative and effective approach to helping physically inactive people become regular exercisers.

Sports and fitness activities have always been at the core of YMCA programming.  YMCA sports teach values and character building that can become the very foundation of a person's life.

The YMCA provides a safe place where teens can cultivate their interests, develop leadership skills and nurture their creative and athletic passions.

The YMCA helps young people make wise and healthy choices by offering programs that give youth and teens opportunities to gain leadership skills, core values and an ethnic of service.
